I have been using this product for about 2 months and has performed well. I have dropped my phone several times with the impact usually on one of the bottom corners. There has been no damage to the casing or the functioning of the phone.
The material is made of a sculpted rubberized material that helps with gripping the phone. All of openings align and no functions are lost or diminished. This case adds the needed protection while adding little bulk to the phone.
The case comes from the manufacturer with a very light coating of powder. This powder will disappear in a couple of days but the cover will be a little slippery until it does. There is only one spot where this cover feels lose and that is on the left side around the USB and SD card access ports. I think this is unavoidable. To be able to have access to these ports, the material between the ports and the screen has to be thin for about two inches.

The only minor problem I have with it is the fact that the skin is not as tight as I had wanted it to be.

I love my e71, but after dropping it a few times I decided to get some extra protection. I didn’t need armor plating, but wanted something better than a cheap silicone skin. The OtterBox Impact fits this niche perfectly. It fits very well, despite feeling a tiny bit loose along the side edges. All buttons, slots, ports, and speakers line up precisely where they should. The extra padding can easily be seen on the back and corners of the case but does not add any noticeable bulk to the phone; it still fits in my pocket the same as it did before. The case has a texture on the grip areas and a very smooth back. The included “screen protector” is a waste; I’ve never been a fan of these plastic sheets, anyway. Overall, this is a very good silicone case if that is what you are looking for.

OK protection for your E71. Wish Otterbox would make something a little tougher with a belt clip, like they do for Blackberries though.
