for 600 [. . . ] this is a waist of money im getting alot of stuck pixles,
by pressing on the screen the red dots go away but still its a neusance
and the contrast ratio even on the ps3 runing 720p is terrible there is a noticable line between the color hues instead of a gradual blending from on shad to the next my old 480i crt tv had a better contrast ratio than this hunk of junk

then theres the ghoasting witch i can see clear as day the reason for this is the fact that is only 60hrtz refresh rate do your self a big favor and spend a bit more on a tv with at least 120 hrtz refresh rate
and a better contrast ratio this is only 3000 it says 13,00 but thats for a static image i believe
i wouldnt recoment this to my worst enemy!

This is the second piece of Sony equipment that we have purchased that has broken withing six months. The picture tube on the TV went after only owning this for five months. This thing is complete junk and now Target will not stand behind it. Sony is being a pain in the a$$ about fixing it even though it is supposed to be under warranty. Sony sucks and I will never buy one of their products again!

We returned this item to Sams several months ago.
Very poor everything, in our opinion and we had problems with poor sound.
We’ve had about 6 Sony products over the years, including: tv’s, stereos,
and clock radios. The only products we’ve been totally happy with are the
2 clock radios! Another frustration is Sony’s policy of returns, which is
poor. They also have a lot of products with proprietary issues, which means
you can’t buy anything off the shelf for it. We don’t buy Sony products
anymore. Sorry for the lack of all the details here, but I’m typing with a
sprained wrist, and I forgot most of the details anyway! I’ll check with
the wife and ewrite more later.

Today I go to Best Buy to see the 32″ LCD TVs. Sony 32L5000 is one of the worst two 32″ TVs I had seen there. (Another one is a unknown brand TV. ) Best Buy play the same TV show on all the TVs, so it’s quite easy to tell the difference. 32L5000 has terrible detail. Much worse than Samsung LN32B360, LG 32LH20, Toshiba, Sharp, etc. If you really liked SONY, buy some higher level SONYs. Never never try this entry level SONY. You don’t have to believe me, just go to some retail stores and trust your own eyes.

  5. I purchased a 32″ Sony KDL-32L4000 model through an Amazon retail partner, ABT of Chicago. It arrived quickly and worked beautifully for 13 months. Then, the picture went haywire, with shimmering , curtain like things covering the screen. I have seen this condition described in other reviews of this product.
Sony live chat worked with me and concluded there was a major failure somewhere in the system. They recommended a service center 140 miles from my home. I took the set to two electronics shops in the city near me and both of them said it was not worth fixing. Mother boards at $200. 00 + each would need to be replaced and even then no guarantee of reliable performance. I donated it to a recycling center. Of course it was one month out of warranty.

At the suggestion of the repair shops, I went to Wal Mart and bought a Vizio model listed as a “best buy” by Consumer Reports for $440. 00. So far it is beautiful.
I have been a Sony loyalist for years, but no more. A $700. 00 TV gone in a year.
This problem may have been fixed in newer models such as the KDL-32L5000. Just a word to the wise about my experience.
