If you want excellent over-the-air television reception, this HD-TVi is the accessory you need now. HD-TVi — The acknowledged leader in antenna has just introduced their first-ever . The high performance HDTVi is the only antenna that receives both UHF and VHF signals (channels 2 – 69), providing reception of all local broadcasts.Amazon.com Product Description
With over 1,000 stations in more than 200 markets broadcasting digital television as of񎧓, 9 out of 10 households can now receive free high-definition () signals when using the right antenna in conjunction with an integrated (or with a set-top box and an HD-ready television). Most antennas are large and unwieldy and need to be mounted outdoors or in a cramped attic. This is not an option if you live in an apartment or condo, or if you don’t want the hassle of installing an yourself. The solution? A quality that can pick up all local HDTV channels; one that will look great next to your television, and one that is easy to install: ’s HDTVi .

At the time of its release, the HDTVi was (and may yet be) the only optimized for both UHF and VHF reception, channels 2 to 69. The HDTVi elegantly solves the aesthetic challenge of integrating a log-periodic-type element assembly in an antenna. It’s tuned for optimum HDTV reception with a unique design that uses log-periodic elements and dipoles for receiving both UHF and VHF broadcasts, bringing you more stations than lesser antennas.

You can easily route the ’s output cable in 2 directions (front or back) for flexible cable management, and the connects easily to your set-top box or television (integrated –with built-in ATSC tuner–required for direct connection).

Its high gain picks up distant stations and its high back-to-front ratio rejects unwanted signals. You can mount the UHF element vertically or horizontally, as experience dictates.

They should put disclaimer on the description that you need a HD receiver to use this Antennae. Most HD TV’s do not have a HD receiver and it costs like $150 to purchase.

Was really excited at this being better than the Zenith Silver Sensor. Don’t let the same design fool you. The “wand” part was very ill fitting and felt like it didn’t “connect”. I think that was part of the problem.

Sideways, up ways, or slant ways, this doesn’t hold a candle to the Silver Sensor. Even the strong stations had diminished signal strength in comparison. It’s looks nicer. That’s it.

As I understand, this has been discontinued. Sad though, with the dipole VHF antenna combo, it was promising. But this thing is a broken promise.

Is an inferior HD antenna, and that is the main reason I bought it. Though I read a report it is just fine for regular TV transmission.

This antenna did not work satisfactory. I purchased item from Amazon but it actually came from Ritz. com I tried to return item to Ritz Camera as dircted by Ritz. com customer service and Ritz Camera local store manager refused. So I am out the money and left with an item that I do not want. This is bad customer service. From now on, if I order from Amazon, it will be books and CD’s only.

  5. This digital TV conversion is the biggest blunder the American Government has ever allowed American Corporations to perpetrate on the American Public. I grew up messing around with antennas, moving them around trying to get a signal, etc. At least with analog TV a signal could ’sort of’ come in with snow on the screen leaving you to decide whether or not you wanted to bother messing with the antenna. My cousin lives on a hilltop in Cincinnati – a seemingly perfect perch for reception – and he gets 3 channels normally with this thing – sometimes more depending on which way the wind blows I guess. Most of the other channels just show a pretty blue screen. He’s tried many other options for over the air digital TV and they are all the same. Needless to say he has renewed his cable subscription. This is such a huge step backward in terms of technology. Don’t do it. If you have cable, pay the bucks and just keep it. If you can’t get cable and can afford a dish, do that. Use this over the air stuff only as a last resort and even then don’t expect much. Messing around with this if you don’t have to is a total waste of your time. You’ve been warned.
